1-preparing specialized educational and research cadres in the Arabic language and literature to contribute to meeting the local, Arab and international needs.
2-conducting research and serious studies to serve the Arabic language and human knowledge.
Objectives of the Department:
1-building the Arab-Islamic personality through teaching the Arabic language, its Sciences and literature, through conscious dealing with the cultural heritage of the nation.
2 - working to strengthen the emotional ties between the student and the Arabic language as a component of the Arab nation, and a tool of communication between its members.
3-developing the student's linguistic and literary abilities and skills by introducing him to the benefits of the language and enabling him to use it according to the exact rules and methods that gain eloquence and skill in expression.
4-instilling Islamic values through the study of Islamic sciences and rooting them, in a way that refines the human soul and distances it from intolerance and exaggeration.
5-enhancing the spirit of citizenship and belonging to the community, and working on its progress and prosperity by positively dealing with the various components of society.

For the postgraduate level, the university offers a postgraduate program (master's degree and doctoral degree) according to the plans of study in the Faculty. Total number of educational programs in the upper stage 36 programs distributed to five faculties:
1. Faculty of Arts: is granted the certificate of higher leave in the following sections: Arabic language - Quran sciences - History - Interpretation - Geography - Psychology - Sociology - English
2. Faculty of Science: The certificate of higher education is granted in the following sections: Chemistry - Plant - Zoology - Physics - Computer - Mathematics.
3. Faculty of Engineering and Technical Sciences: The certificate of higher leave is granted in the following sections: Civil Engineering - Electronic Engineering - Medical Laboratory Sciences - Environmental Sciences - Food Science and Technology.
4. Faculty of Energy and Mining: The certificate of the Higher Degree in Renewable Energies is granted in the Department of Renewable Energies and approved with the Tempus Program
5. Faculty of Agriculture: The certificate of higher leave is granted in the following sections: Soil and Water - Agricultural Economics
