The objective of the Master's Degree Program in Music, Cultures, Media, Performance (MCMP) is to train graduates with specialized scientific, theoretical, technical, methodological, and operational skills related to the historical phenomena and contemporary developments of musical heritage and communication, considered in close relation to the media and performing arts. Due to its dual nature, theoretical and practical, the Master's Degree Program also aims to provide a broad and comprehensive education, in methodologies and applications, capable of carrying out their work in various fields of high responsibility and professional qualification.


The Master's Degree Program therefore aims to provide its graduates with: in-depth historical and theoretical knowledge of both musical, media, and performance phenomena and their modes and means of dissemination; solid skills in linguistic, philological, historical, and philosophical disciplines; the ability to use the main IT tools for music publishing and technological support for composition, performance, digital lutherie, and musicological analysis; a wealth of techniques and experience in the various fields (historical, pedagogical, technological, archival, publishing, journalistic, production, etc.) of musical, theatrical, and audiovisual communication, which students will be able to leverage. Graduates must therefore be able to critically apply this knowledge and skills both from an exegetical and didactic perspective and from the perspective of designing and creating works, demonstrating advanced skills in the fields of event planning, production, and organization, and the management of theatrical and cinematographic facilities. They must also be able to operate effectively in the musical, media, and performing arts market, considering its diverse specifications and the most effective ways to promote its products. They must also be able to use the main audiovisual, IT, and electronic communication tools for documentation, scientific research, and communication, as well as for the design and implementation of effective artistic synergies between new performance modalities and new electronic media.

Finally, graduates of the Master's Degree in Music, Cultures, Media, Performance (MCMP) must be fluent in English, including specialized vocabulary for music and related disciplines.
