Graduates in the degree course in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Technique, in accordance with the guidelines of the European Union, must be equipped with:

  • knowledge of organs and systems, as well as psychological, social and environmental aspects;
  • knowledge of the evolution of the profession, of the founding concepts of psychiatric rehabilitation and of the methodology of the rehabilitation process;
  • knowledge of the foundations, evolution and characteristics of the theory and conceptual models of psychiatric rehabilitation;
  • knowledge of the principles and rules that define the psychiatric rehabilitator's own field of activity and responsibility;
  • knowledge of the bioethical, deontological, legal and medico-legal principles of the profession;
  • the ability to develop an integrated approach to the patient, critically evaluating the clinical, relational, educational, social and ethical aspects involved in prevention, assistance, rehabilitation and recovery of the highest possible degree of well-being;
  • the cultural and professional principles that guide the process, the diagnostic thinking, the rehabilitative action towards the assisted person and the community, applying these principles in experiences in accredited health and assistance structures;
  • professional, decision-making and operational autonomy deriving from a training course characterized by a holistic approach to people's health problems, also in relation to the chemical-physical, biological and social environment that surrounds them;
  • essential theoretical knowledge deriving from the basic sciences, with a view to their subsequent professional application;
  • the ability to critically detect and evaluate the data relating to the needs of rehabilitation interventions of the person and the community, formulating the related objectives;
  • knowledge, skills and experience useful for planning, managing and evaluating psychiatric rehabilitation intervention;
  • knowledge, skills and experience to ensure the correct implementation of rehabilitation programs;
  • knowledge of the theoretical and applicative foundations of the various rehabilitation techniques;
  • the ability to implement rehabilitation interventions aimed at self-care, adherence to the care project, interpersonal relationships of varying complexity, work activity and housing autonomy;
  • the ability to integrate the different specificities of the rehabilitation techniques into an articulated rehabilitation project;
  • the ability to participate in identifying the health needs of the person and the community;
  • the ability to participate directly in updating their professional profile;
  • the methodology and culture necessary for the practice of ongoing formation;
  • the ability to collaborate and integrate with the various professional figures in group healthcare activities;
