The master's degree program in Science and Technology of Animal Production aims to train professionals with a solid scientific background and advanced operational skills in the sectors of breeding, genetics and animal nutrition, the processing industry of products of origin. animal, zootechnical and faunal systems, biosecurity of farms, in function of animal welfare and respect for the environment, also to protect human health.

In particular, graduates in Animal Production Sciences and Technologies must be able to:

  • plan and manage mechanized and automated systems in agro-zootechnical production contexts and apply renewable energy technologies to agro-zootechnical systems;
  • organize, develop and manage the feeding of livestock according to animal health, food quality and human health;
  • manage the interactions between livestock activities, wildlife and the environment in order to plan an integrated and sustainable use of territorial resources;
  • design and plan the genetic management of livestock populations;
  • apply biosecurity measures to prevent the introduction or limit the spread of infectious and diffusive diseases in animal populations, both domestic and wild;
  • apply the processing technologies and the regulations in force guaranteeing the quality, safety and wholesomeness of food of animal origin.
