The Bachelor's Degree in Legal Services Sciences aims to train graduates with expertise in legal fields and the ability to apply the law in all relevant operational contexts, including problem-solving and an interdisciplinary approach. To this end, the program provides a solid legal education, including a supranational perspective, complemented by knowledge and skills from other disciplines that enable graduates to enter the workforce or pursue further studies in master's degrees. To this end, the Bachelor's Degree in Legal Services Sciences focuses on training various professional figures.
In the field of public law, it aims to train professionals who will find employment in local governments (state, regional, and local), public bodies, and publicly held companies. In the private sector, the natural career path is employment within banking, insurance, and financial institutions, and more generally within investment and brokerage firms, providing consulting and assistance in compliance, contract drafting, client relations, and pre-litigation management. The degree program also focuses on training professionals with expertise in employment law, with legal expertise and professional qualifications for personnel administration and management, labor relations and collective bargaining, social security, and corporate welfare. The skills acquired also offer the opportunity to acquire specific knowledge regarding issues related to the evolution and legal regulation of the third sector in the Italian legal system. Graduates will be able to work not only as subordinate collaborators with private companies, public entities, and professional firms, but also as freelancers.
The degree program's curriculum is divided into an institutional area, common to all programs, and an applied area, specifically tailored to the various potential career opportunities.
The institutional area, corresponding to the first two years of the program, consists largely of core and distinctive educational activities. It provides a solid foundation for developing the understanding and mastery of specific legal concepts, as well as appropriate philosophical, sociological, economic, IT, and linguistic knowledge. The courses included in this area aim to equip students with the essential knowledge needed to navigate the various branches of law, as well as to develop the ability to understand legal reasoning, both generally and with respect to the specific issues inherent in individual subjects.
The applied area, corresponding to the third year of the program and including related and supplementary educational activities, elective courses, and additional educational activities (with particular emphasis on training and orientation internships), provides a series of sector-specific skills that are specifically useful for training the various professional roles the degree program aims to develop. This area emphasizes the in-depth study of legal reasoning and the application of acquired knowledge, enabling students to address the logical and interpretative problems posed by the law and fostering their understanding of more in-depth and problematic issues. It encourages independent judgment in resolving legal issues and fosters communication skills through the use of appropriate legal terminology and IT and telematics tools and methods.
To pursue these professions, both knowledge of specific legal concepts and adequate sociological, economic, and IT-related legal knowledge, as well as a good knowledge of the English language, are essential.
In short, graduates in Legal Services Sciences are expected, upon completion of their studies, to be able to apply their acquired knowledge, using independent judgment and communication skills, to solve problems related to the many career opportunities available.
The Bachelor's Degree in Legal Services Sciences is divided into 4 curricula:
