The aim of the Degree Programme in Management of Healthcare Organisations and the Health Sector is to train graduates with theoretical and technical knowledge on the management of companies and businesses that make up the health sector, allowing them to apply these logics and tools in the real world.


Graduates will have skills appropriate to the expectations of the labour market, taking into account the main employment opportunities:


For public and private health and social care companies, knowledge will be oriented towards value creation tools, improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of services, analysis of organisational processes, understanding of the main business functions (operational management, organisational development, budgeting, planning and control, etc.);

For companies in the health sector (pharmaceutical/biomedical companies, health insurance) the knowledge will be oriented towards value creation tools, marketing logics and tools, market access and stakeholder management, analysis of health systems, knowledge of regional and national health systems, HTA logics;

For consulting firms, the skills will be based on the dynamics and developments of the health sector and consulting skills, project management, design and implementation of organizational and institutional changes;

For agencies and regulatory bodies, the skills will allow them to master the dynamics and developments of the health sector, the functioning of Public Health Authorities and their decision-making and governance processes, health economics and HTA projects, policy-making processes under technical and regulatory aspects, stakeholder management/involvement processes.

Graduates with a qualification issued in Italy in the following classes (or equivalent qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable) can access the MASS Degree Course: L-16 Administration and Organization Sciences L-18 Economics and Business Management Sciences L-20 Communication Sciences L-33 Economics L-36 Political Sciences and International Relations L-37 Social Sciences for Cooperation, Cooperation and Economics Sociology L-41 Statistics
Graduates must also have acquired at least 24 credits in the following fields: a) Management SECS-P/07, SECS-P/08, SECS-P/09, SECS-P/10, SECS-P/11 b) Economics SECS-P/01, SECS-P/02, SECS-P/03, SECS-P/05, SECS-P/06, SECS-P/12 c) Mathematical-Statistical Sciences SECS-S/01, SECS-S/02, SECS-S/03, SECS-S/04, SECS-S/05, SECS-S/06, MAT/01, MAT/02, MAT/03, MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/09 d) SIUS/01, IUS/04, IUS/05, IUS/07, IUS/09, IUS/10, IUS/12, IUS/13, IUS/14, IUS/17
of which: - at least 12 credits in areas a) and b) - at least 6 credits in area c)
The Italian language is a prerogative of the degree course to meet the needs of the labor market of the Italian SSR context, although the degree is characterized by different international contents, such as global health and the possibility of activating international internships. The selection committee reserves the right to admit, on the basis of the results of the interview only, students who do not fully verify one or more of the minimum admission requirements due to discrepancies in the system of credits or qualifications or for other objective reasons detected by the analysis of the material attached to the application for admission.
Entry requirement: knowledge of the English language equal to or higher than level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
