The Academic Program has evolved since its inception in 1967 due to a permanent evaluation process since it has been able to respond to the social, economic, scientific and technological requirements of the country. The Civil Engineer of the Universidad del Valle, has a series of attitudes and aptitudes that complement their knowledge and skills, facilitating an excellent professional performance which can be initiated through the Professional Practice, created by the Faculty of Engineering to support the relationship between the academic and the productive sector and administratively support students and graduates in the definition of their work objectives. The areas related to the Curriculum Plan, They have state-of-the-art academic and technological developments to offer an Academic Program in accordance with regional and national demands in a globalization environment. Carrying out projects with Colciencias and other government entities has become an increasingly complex and diverse process, where innovative and integrative professionals have facilitated great teamwork, because they have the education, training and equipment to be in the forefront of the adaptation and integration of these new technologies in both design and construction.
