Master in Audio-Visual Cultures

The Master's program in Audiovisual Cultures collects the value that the School of Social Communication of the Universidad del Valle has assigned, for more than 40 years, to the relationships between communication, culture and audiovisual production. In this tradition, the Master's Degree in Audiovisual Cultures is the response of the School of Social Communication to a state of affairs in which the audiovisual has the status of a culture-forming device. The 0verall objective of the Master in Audio-Visual Cultures program is to train researchers of audiovisual cultures and cultural producers (audiovisual producers, analysts, critics, managers, to name a few figures) who, based on theoretical and methodological criteria, are capable, based on correct diagnoses of the needs of society, of designing and develop audiovisual or research projects on audiovisual cultures with a critical, creative and aesthetic perspective.
