The Public Accounting Program since its creation under Resolution 396 of December 11, 1975 of the Board of Directors, has worked to train comprehensive professionals in the field of Public Accounting, who are committed to creating value in regional organizations and the country., through leadership in investigative and business processes. Thus, it can be said that since its creation, the program has implicitly and explicitly had a curricular proposal that aims for students to develop skills in:

Understanding of the processes and logics of the existing academic and union communities in the accounting discipline.
Apprehension of the theoretical frameworks that rationally explain how Accounting contributes to the modernization of society, promoting the thinking of the paradigms, standards and techniques that underlie accounting knowledge
Knowledge regarding the current regulations that guide the developments and applications of Accounting and Public Accounting, taking into account international references on the generation of financial accounting information and its assurance.
Criteria and discipline that allow keeping informed about changes at the regulatory level of accounting discipline in the country.
