The mission of Pre-hospital Care (Technology) program is to t rain technologists in pre-hospital care with technical-scientific skills, capable of acting under the ethical principles and values of respect, freedom, comprehensiveness and commitment to peace, attending processes of promotion, prevention, health management and intervention in emergency situations, emergencies and disasters through the application of theoretical and practical knowledge that allows them to become critical, innovative, transformative, proactive agents, with a willingness to work as a team to face and resolve situations typical of Prehospital Care.
The Technology in Prehospital Care of the Universidad del Valle for the year 2020 will be a higher education program of excellence that contributes to the continuous improvement of the health sector, especially in urgent care, emergencies and disasters, for the benefit of the community and the sector productive sector of the country, being recognized nationally and internationally as leaders in technical-scientific development in pre-hospital care.
