The vision of the Agricultural Engineering Program is in line with the vision of the Faculty of Engineering and with the vision of the Universidad del Valle and projects for the year 2019 to become a leader in the national and international academic community of the agricultural sector, for its activities research of innovation in ecological technologies of sustainable agriculture. Continue training leaders in the management and conservation of water resources and especially in the design, construction and administration of irrigation and drainage systems.
Consolidate high-level research groups in the field of plant biotechnologies.
Train professionals who contribute to the development of new technologies and are capable of interpreting the relationship between environmental processes and production processes in the agricultural sector.

The Academic Program of Agricultural Engineering has as its mission the comprehensive training of professionals in the field of Agricultural Engineering, capable of intervening in the natural environment in an efficient and responsible manner, contributing to the welfare of society through the development of scientific knowledge and the application of technologies that allow the agricultural sector to be efficient in the production and conservation of raw materials to guarantee food security and the conservation of the natural environment.
