Materials Engineering

Train Materials Engineers capable of influencing the industrial and professional environment by adapting and generating new technologies in the field of metallic materials, polymers, ceramics and composites.  Train professionals who, based on the fundamental knowledge of materials science, apply engineering processes so that they are capable of generating development proposals, creating jobs, efficiently using natural resources and technological opportunities to obtain materials useful to society. In accordance with the Mission  of the University, to train educated people, sensitive to art and nature, capable of appreciating the importance of philosophical and scientific thought, who integrate scientific and technological knowledge within the historical and geographical dimensions, who are well informed and that appreciate truth and justice.
