The Mathematics Academic Program has the following objectives:
General Objective: To train academically competent mathematicians, capable of contributing to the development of the country and of science as a whole, through the ethical and honest exercise of their profession.
Specific objectives:

Strengthen in students the intellectual abilities of analysis, abstraction, intuition, deduction and formalization through the study of Mathematics.
Train professionals who are knowledgeable about the methods and purposes of the main branches of Mathematics.
Strengthen in students the communication skills that allow the dissemination of Mathematics, both to a general public and to a specialized one in an assertive manner.
Achieve the student's commitment to self-learning as an instrument of professional development and responsibility.
Get the student to recognize the presence of Mathematics in science, society and culture, and its role in the development of the country.
Train professionals with leadership attitudes typical of an upright citizen.
