The vision of the Sanitary and Environmental Engineering Program is in line with the vision of the Faculty of Engineering and the Universidad del Valle and aspires for the year 2025 to project itself nationally and internationally as a leading Academic Program in the sanitary and environmental sector, through of the activities of teaching, research and innovation in technologies and methodologies that contribute to the prevention, control and mitigation of environmental problems related to the management of natural resources water, air and soil and with the environmental dynamics (environmental health) generated by changes to these resources. Comprehensively train citizens with social responsibility (knowledge, attitudes, skills, abilities) prepared for the identification, control, prevention and mitigation of pollution of natural resources; water, air and soil, including public health, with an investigative and critical attitude, with the capacity for interdisciplinary and community work; planning, generating, executing and evaluating projects from the perspective of sustainability to meet the needs of society in general and of the productive sectors in particular.
