Medicine and Surgery

The Medicine and Surgery Program of the Universidad del Valle has as its mission to train doctors by generating, transforming, applying and disseminating scientific knowledge, together with the humanities and social sciences, through comprehensive health education focused on the human. As a member of a state university with a vocation for social service, it assumes commitments in the formation of an individual with ethical and citizen skills that contributes to the construction of a more just, democratic and sustainable society. General Objective:  Understand the relationship between society, ethics and politics, recognizing the exercise of power by different actors, which impacts populations in their life process, health, illness, social action, to critically analyze local and global situations and problems, in the context of social justice.
