The Mechanical Engineer of the Universidad del Valle, as a professional of the Faculty of Engineering, understands the natural sciences relevant to his specialty, applies mathematics, the fundamentals, the methods and the tools of Mechanical Engineering. He is a professional trained to: Understand and contribute to the solution of contemporary environmental, social, cultural and economic problems, in their work, local, national and international contexts; understand the impacts of engineering solutions and the ethical aspects associated with the exercise of the profession and its responsible action in society. He is able to solve problems from Mechanical Engineering by training him in critical thinking, creativity and systemically learns autonomously and recognizes the need to learn throughout the life of their professional practice. He is competent to work in a team and communicate properly.
