The Master's Degree Course in Veterinary Biotechnological Sciences aims to prepare graduates who have advanced skills to develop scientific methodologies, who are able to coordinate study and research projects at national and international level in full compliance with regulations and deontological and bioethical issues and, above all, who are in possession of in-depth specialized knowledge in the fields of biotechnology applied to the sciences Veterinary.

Admission to the Master's Degree Course in Veterinary Biotechnological Sciences is open to first-level graduates in the following classes, as well as in the corresponding classes relating to Ministerial Decree 509/99: L 2, L 13, L 25, L 26, L 38. Graduates of other classes who must have acquired at least 60 credits in SSD concerning the disciplines: animal nutrition and breeding (AGR/18, AGR/19, AGR/20), biochemistry (BIO/10), biology (BIO/05, BIO/11, BIO/13), chemistry (CHIM/01, CHIM/03, CHIM06, CHIM/09, AGR/13), pharmacology and toxicology (BIO/14, VET/07), genetics (BIO/18, AGR/17, AGR/07), entomology (AGR/11), infectious and parasitic diseases (VET/05, VET/06), microbiology (BIO/19, MED/07, VET/05), morphophysiology (BIO/06, BIO/17, BIO/09, VET/01, VET/02), pathology (MED/04, VET/03), animal production and reproduction (VET/10), management (AGR/01).
Assessment methods of personal knowledge and preparation. Italian candidates and foreign students will be admitted to the Master's degree programme on the basis of their curriculum of studies, the qualifications presented and, only if it is deemed useful for the assessment of their previous career, an interview, including an online interview. The interview will be carried out by the Admission Committee of the degree course and will be aimed at verifying the degree of knowledge in the following disciplines: Molecular Biology and Applied Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Parasitology, Embryology, Animal Food and Nutrition, with the result expressed in terms of Admitted/Not Admitted. In the event of transfer from another university or from another degree course, admission to years subsequent to the first will be subject to the assessment of the previous career by the Academic Board. Students who have graduated from the Bachelor's Degree Programmes in Biotechnology (K06) and Veterinary Biotechnology can enrol directly in the Master's Degree Programme subject to assessment by the Board.
