Engineering Management combines management and leadership tools with engineering and technology methods to improve business systems. Engineering managers have the analytical, quantitative, and critical skills to make informed business decisions, and also have the management and leadership skills to successfully implement such decisions in diverse teams.

Students pursuing an MEM degree typically have a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited US institution. Applicants with degrees from other areas or non-accredited institutions will be considered, but students may need to complete additional work (math, statistics, etc.) to be prepared to take MEM courses.

Graduate degree applications will be considered holistically. Admitted students typically have an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or higher, and the university requires a 3.0. However, students with lower GPAs are encouraged to apply. The personal statement from such students should explain their individual circumstances and describe why the student believes that they will succeed and earn an MEM degree.

GRE scores are not required for admission, but may help strengthen an application

Students that earned their bachelor's degree in a foreign country must satisfy the equivalent standard from that country and may also need to satisfy the university's English proficiency requirements. In addition to these requirements, all students must complete the university's graduate application process. This application process includes:
