International Affairs and Global Enterprise: Possess the knowledge and the skills to analyze global and geographic area-specific social, legal, political and economic issues. Evaluated through (1) a comprehensive exam and (2) a final capstone project that may involve a business analysis or an extensive analysis of a global issue, before graduation is approved. Foster multicultural understanding of the various environments within which global organizations function. Evaluated each semester in the core courses and on the comprehensive exam and final capstone project, before graduation is approved. Communicate in at least two international languages (including English). Evaluated by Department of Languages and Literature before graduation is approved. Demonstrate the skills to analyze global socio-political-economic trends and phenomena (and local ones in a global context) with respect to their potential impacts on the operations of global enterprises. Demonstrate the ability to analyze the interaction of the foregoing forces with internal objectives and operations from the perspective of each of the following types of global enterprise: for-profit firms, not-for-profit NGOs, and government agencies. Demonstrate the ability to carry out and interpret the implications of quantitative and qualitative analysis appropriate to support of the above managerial tasks. Admission Requirements

6.5+
All international graduate applicants to the University of Utah must meet the following minimum Graduate School requirements: A bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited U.S. college or university or from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in their home country. The Office of International Admissions will determine if applicants with international degrees meet the Graduate School's requirement of a recognized bachelor's degree. At least a 3.0 or higher undergraduate weighted mean GPA on a 4.0 scale. If the undergraduate GPA is below 3.0, a GPA will be calculated for the last two years attended if schooling was done at a foreign institution, and based upon the last 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) if the student attended a U.S. institution. Other English Language Requirements: 550 on the TOEFL PBT (paper-based).
