The Master of Science in Occupational Health (MSOH) with an emphasis in General Occupational Health program is designed to prepare students to gain comprehensive knowledge of administrative procedures as it relates to developing and managing occupational health programs for large organizations, academia, government and or private industries. Intended for students with extensive or limited professional experience in the area of occupational health, students gain the opportunity to complete broad coursework connected to clinical aspects of occupational injuries and diseases, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, biostatistics, safety administration and occupational health psychology.

Students who pursue this program, gain the opportunity to work closely with the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, the Department of Mechanical Engineering in addition to gaining valuable experience in Occupational and Environmental Health.

The MSOH General Occupational Health degree is intended to be completed in two years of full-time study and requires a research-based master’s thesis or non-thesis project.
