Specific objectives:
Train professionals capable of assisting in the application and evaluation of diagnostic methods and therapy with ionized radiation, guaranteeing the radiological safety of patients, users, workers and the general public, as well as guaranteeing the quality and management of the equipment.
Train professionals capable of contributing to the solution of problems in the area of health, research and teaching.
Train professionals with the capacity for active and continuous self-learning throughout life that guarantee the interpretation, application and dissemination of the protocols that govern work in Medical Physics.
Train professionals who participate collaboratively in interdisciplinary groups with ethics and professionalism, and capable of continuing their preparation through postgraduate studies.

Admission Requirements
The general requirements to enter a degree program at the University of Sonora are as follows:
Request registration with the Directorate of School Services in accordance with the terms of the respective call.
Submit a full certificate of high school studies.
Submit a certified birth certificate.
Submit entrance exam and be accepted according to the terms of the respective call.
The others that are established in accordance with article 22 of the current School Regulations.
