Admission Requirements

Entry requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences or related career with sufficient knowledge in Basic Physics. Minimum grade point average of 80 points (on a scale of 0 to 100).
  • Level FOUR of the English courses of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​or 400 Points of the TOEFL ITP or equivalent.
  • Present and pass an admission exam on the basic subjects of Physics (Classical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Thermal Physics and Electromagnetism) according to the syllabus taught in the Preparatory Courses. This exam may be accredited by a certificate of approval of the Preparatory Courses of a Master's Program in Physics less than a year and a half prior.
  • Receive a positive evaluation in the individual interview with the Academic Commission where the competitiveness of the applicant to carry out Master's studies will be evaluated.
  • Accredit a minimum score of 1000 points in the EXANI III knowledge and aptitude exam. For foreigners, the Academic Commission will establish equivalent forms for accreditation.

Documentation to deliver:

  • Statement of reasons letter.
  • Curriculum Vitae (free format, without proof).
  • Copy of the title and/or the previous degree qualification examination certificate or proof from the Coordination of the corresponding program that the thesis manuscript is under review by the Thesis Committee (Bachelor's and/or Master's, where appropriate) *.
  • Certificate of qualifications from previous Higher Studies (Bachelor's and/or Master's, if applicable)*.
  • Official proof of accreditation of the English requirement valid for less than one year.
  • Two letters of recommendation from professors with recognized academic experience (members of the National System of Researchers or equivalent).
  • Copy of valid official identification (Mexican voter ID or passport).
  • Birth certificate*.

*foreign documents must be legalized or apostilled in the country of origin
