Entry requirements:

  • Approval and dissemination of the call. The Postgraduate Academic Commission (CAP) discusses, approves and sends the call proposal for new admission to the corresponding institutional instances (Division of Biological and Health Sciences and Research and Postgraduate Directorate). Once approved by these instances, it is published in different printed and electronic media. Admission to the program is managed each year. The call is regularly published between the months of April and May.
  • Online registration of applicants. The applicant registers online in the portal https://aspirantesposgrado.uson.mx/ where she must capture information regarding personal data, academic career and work experience. In addition, she must upload to the platform the documents indicated in the call.

  • Interview. The pre-selected applicants must attend an interview that is conducted by the professors who are members of the Postgraduate Academic Commission. The interview includes the assessment of six items: Vocational interests and areas of interest in the last grades of study; criteria used to select the postgraduate degree in biosciences; postgraduate terminal areas in biosciences of interest and why; availability of time to dedicate to postgraduate studies; the research proposal to be developed; the main strengths to carry out the postgraduate degree in a timely manner. The applicant's curriculum vitae is also analyzed.
  • Publication of results. According to the results of the evaluations, the selection of future students is carried out by the Postgraduate Academic Commission, weighting as follows: interview (50%) EXANI III (25%) and TOEFL ITP (25%).
