General objective:
To train professionals in Biomedical Engineering with an ethical and multidisciplinary approach, prepared to solve related problems in the areas of biomaterials, bioinstrumentation, bioinformatics and bioengineering; as in the administration and management of companies in the health sector.
Specific objectives:
- Provide students with theoretical and procedural tools in disciplines such as biomaterials, biomechanics, bioinstrumentation, bioinformatics, and bioengineering.
- Train experts capable of identifying and solving problems in the area of Biomedical Engineering applied to materials, biology, electronics and computing.
- Strengthen in students the sense of self-criticism and strict adherence to professional ethics.
- Give the student the tools to develop a collaborative, proactive and leadership attitude, which will allow them to join interdisciplinary research groups, both nationally and internationally, to promote the development of knowledge and innovative technologies for the benefit and respect of society and the environment.

Admission Requirements
The general requirements to enter a degree program at the University of Sonora are as follows:
- Request registration with the Directorate of School Services in accordance with the terms of the respective call.

- Submit a certified birth certificate.
- Submit entrance exam and be accepted according to the terms of the respective call.
