General objective:

Prepare human resources with a solid background in mathematics , with skills to understand and apply the results and advances of modern Mathematics.
Promote the development of mathematical knowledge in the region.

Specific objectives:

Train personnel with solid knowledge in Mathematics, with skills for oral and written communication that allow them to perform in the educational sector at the upper middle and higher levels.
Contribute to the solution of problems that require the use of mathematical processes or the development of mathematical models.
Train human resources with knowledge and skills to join various areas of the productive and social sector.
Prepare trained human resources to participate in multidisciplinary groups where problems of regional and national interest are raised.

Admission Requirements

The general requirements to enter a degree program at the University of Sonora are as follows:

Request registration with the Directorate of School Services in accordance with the terms of the respective call.
Submit a full certificate of high school studies.
Submit a certified birth certificate.
Submit entrance exam and be accepted according to the terms of the respective call.
The others that are established in accordance with article 22 of the current School Regulations.
