General objective:

The main objective of the MIE is to train personnel of high academic quality who are capable of conceiving, promoting and developing innovations in higher education and conducting research to support educational change, promoting the understanding of the interactive process between education and the economic framework, political and social, in the context of the new international scenarios.

Specific objectives:

  • Contribute to qualitatively improve the performance of academics in higher education institutions.
  • Contribute to qualitatively improve the training of young graduates who join the Higher Education institutions of the Northwest and help them face with a vision of the future the demands of the new professions that modernization requires and those derived from the expansion of enrollment .
  • Prepare high-level professionals, capable of developing educational innovation projects and conducting research to support them.
  • Provide academics with frontier knowledge and train them as innovative agents of educational processes.
  • Provide theoretical knowledge that allows the analysis of the contemporary discussion in the field of educational innovation, as well as the understanding of the current problems of higher education, conceived as an eminently social and extremely complex phenomenon.
  • Train high-level academics for the design of educational policies.
  • Train academics capable of using state-of-the-art technologies in the original and innovative design of alternatives to the growing complexity of the educational demand in Northwest Mexico.
