Admission Requirements

Admission profile:

As a complex phenomenon, architecture requires for its study the concert of multiple technical, humanistic and social science disciplines. It is a frontier profession, in constant mobility and adaptation, in line with the sociocultural diversity that it intends to serve or respond to, based on specific sustainable habitability needs. In this order of ideas, applicants to the Master's Program in Architecture may have professional degrees in related disciplines, preferably with an interest in activities related to the study, management, project, construction, administration and promotion of living spaces at different scales. and categories that characterize human settlements, based on the following knowledge and skills:

  • The applicant should preferably have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture. The Academic Commission will evaluate the admission of candidates with academic or professional training, in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Exact Sciences and Engineering, as long as their research proposals are relevant to the LGCA of the program.
  • Possess basic skills for managing computer equipment and computer programs, as well as the use of databases.
  • Ability to read and understand texts in English, meeting the level established by the program's Academic Committee.
  • Full-time availability to dedicate to the program and meet the established academic requirements with dedication and commitment.
  • Additionally, the applicant must meet a profile that demonstrates skills, values ​​and vocation for scientific research and the generation of new knowledge, dedication, discipline and rigor for scientific work, in addition to showing sensitivity towards energy, environmental, social problems and others related, as well as a critical and responsible attitude towards the solutions that it can contribute to Architecture and Urbanism.
