The Postgraduate in Social Development emerges as a necessity in the context of the great structural changes of the last two decades. The socio-technical transformations that have occurred in practically all areas of human development, imply rethinking the concepts, theories, public policies, instruments of social intervention, even the relevance of social programs, the legal framework of social justice, the participation of actors involved, forms of management and financing mechanisms. This need to rethink and rethink from an expanded, complex and multidisciplinary perspective constitutes a social innovation approach that academics and professionals in the field have; as well as social activists, unions, churches, private foundations.
