General Objective:
To train teachers, researchers and professionals with a high academic level in the area of Materials Science .
Specific Objectives:
- Contribute to the training of specialized human resources that the country requires in the area of Materials Science.
- Train students in the research activity.
- Participate effectively in the resolution of technological problems that arise in the social and productive environment of the region and the country, within the scope of the research lines of the program.
Exit Profile:
Graduates will have up-to-date knowledge in the area of Materials Science, and a solid theoretical and/or experimental background in the specific field in which they developed their research work. This training will enable them to:
- Apply a wide range of methods and techniques to solve scientific and technological problems in their field of knowledge, both in the academic and productive spheres.
- Critically manage scientific and technological information from different specialized sources.
- Participate in the development of research projects in the area of Materials Science and the like.
- Efficiently perform teaching and knowledge dissemination tasks, thereby collaborating in the training of human resources.

Admission Requirements
Admission requirements:
The candidate to enter the program must:
a) Submit an integrated file with the documents listed below:
- Application for admission according to the format indicated on the page www.polimeros.uson.mx.
- Letter explaining the student's reasons for taking the program.
- Professional title or transcript of exam to obtain degree/letter from intern and letter of commitment to obtain degree.
- Certificate of grades from professional studies with average.
- Valid proof that guarantees 481 points of the TOEFL ITP or its equivalent.
- Two letters of recommendation from professors with recognized academic experience.
- Birth certificate original and copy.
- Copy of official identification; voter ID (both sides) for Mexicans; passport for foreigners.
- Three child-sized photographs.
c) Attend an interview with the evaluation committee named ex-professed by the Postgraduate Academic Committee.
- Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
