General objective:
The study plan of the degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering has the purpose of training professionals capable of designing, implementing, controlling and improving systems made up of material persons, information, equipment, energy and capital in organizations that generate goods and services, with an attitude creative, enterprising and respectful of the individual, the environment and society.
Specific objectives:
- Provide a balanced education with solid knowledge of mathematical, physical, economic, administrative, social and computational sciences, together with the knowledge of engineering analysis and design on which Industrial and Systems Engineering is based.
- Develop an understanding of the processes used for the timely delivery of high-quality, low-cost products and services.
- Provide the business, economic and legal knowledge on which the success of organizations immersed in an environment of global competition currently rests.
- Develop the ability to model complex industrial and systems engineering systems using appropriate analytical, computational, and experimental practices.
- Develop the ability to design, analyze, implement and improve industrial engineering systems and systems composed of people, materials, information, capital and energy to increase productivity and competitiveness.
- Generate the necessary attitudes for ethical professional development that allow them to act responsibly and with a vocation for service to society, as well as skills that allow them to integrate into interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams.

Admission Requirements
The general requirements to enter a degree program at the University of Sonora are as follows:
- Request registration with the Directorate of School Services in accordance with the terms of the respective call.
- Submit a full certificate of high school studies.
- Submit a certified birth certificate.
- Submit entrance exam and be accepted according to the terms of the respective call.
