General objective:

To train high-quality professionals in genomic sciences with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary scientific approach, prepared to solve problems related to agriculture, livestock, the environment, evolutionary ecology, and human health.

Specific objectives:

Train graduates with a theoretical and procedural domain of disciplines such as bioinformatics, biotechnology, genetic engineering, molecular biology, medical genomics, agricultural and livestock genomics, environmental genomics and evolutionary genomics.
Train experts capable of identifying and solving problems in the area of Genomic Sciences applied to agriculture, zootechnics, ecology, evolution and health sciences.
That the graduates be self-critical, analytical individuals with a strict sense of ethics.
That graduates have a collaborative, purposeful and leadership attitude, which will allow them to join interdisciplinary research groups, both nationally and internationally, to promote the development of knowledge and innovative technologies for the benefit and respect of society and the environment.

Admission Requirements

The general requirements to enter a bachelor's program at the University of Sonora are as follows:

Request registration with the School Services Directorate in accordance with the terms of the respective call.
Submit full certificate of upper secondary education studies.
Submit certified birth certificate.
Submit entrance exam and be accepted according to the terms of the respective call.
The others that are established in accordance with article 22 of the current School Regulations.
