General objective:
Prepare a professional with solid conceptual, methodological and technical training , which allows the graduate to understand government action and solve specific public problems, through professional practice, teaching, research and dissemination of this discipline, and provide the student with a theoretical and technical background that allows them to define, formulate and evaluate specific public policies and propose solutions to the administrative and political problems that the government faces daily.

- Design specific solution proposals and develop results evaluation systems, in a public policy context and considering the need for comprehensive and globalized development.

- Provide the student with knowledge and skills that develop their public management and decision-making skills, based on a public management approach.
- Understand and propose action alternatives in the field of political decisions and processes, as well as in the drive and promotion of a defined democratic culture in an environment of governance.
Psychopedagogical:
- Introduce the student to the basic theoretical and technical tools to define and analyze public problems, both in the sphere of government and in other social institutions.
- Develop the practical capacity for intervention in structural aspects, systems and procedures.
- Emphasize the development of studies at the state and local level, which serve the student for a greater understanding of regional problems and promote the design of actions of interest and social benefit.

Admission Requirements
The general requirements to enter a degree program at the University of Sonora are as follows:
- Request registration with the Directorate of School Services in accordance with the terms of the respective call.
- Submit a full certificate of high school studies.
- Submit a certified birth certificate.
- Submit entrance exam and be accepted according to the terms of the respective call.
