Everyday life at Psychology The teaching at Psychology is structured as an interaction between lectures and teaching in small groups, where we work actively with the subject by giving presentations, participating in discussions and doing project work with the study groups that everyone becomes a part of. Psychology is a theoretical education that is based on the 6 major core subjects (see below), but we also go through various methodological subjects, as well as support subjects such as the philosophy and history of psychology, neuroscientific psychology, and psychiatry. There are at least 12 hours of teaching per week, but we also spend study time on preparation, e.g. reading the syllabus, working in study groups, and project work.
The bachelor's degree is your future foundation The bachelor's degree program focuses on giving you a basic theoretical approach to the major fields of psychology (social and personality psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, work and organizational psychology, clinical psychology, and educational psychology), so that you gain a scientific basis for your later work in the field. In each subject, we delve into the subject's special perspective on the human psyche, which together forms the basis for a broad foundation of knowledge about the many areas of application of psychology.
Career opportunities A bachelor's degree in psychology cannot yet work as a psychologist in practice. Most bachelor's graduates therefore choose to continue their studies on the master's degree in psychology, which is a practically oriented extension of the bachelor's degree that gives you the opportunity to work as a psychologist. Here you have the opportunity to specialize in certain areas of psychology, and you have very varied job opportunities within the profession.
