Linguistics means language research, and already in the first year you are guided in doing your own language research.

In the Bachelor's degree program in Linguistics, you study the patterns of how we link sounds together to form words, words together to form sentences, and sentences together to form speech and writing. You learn language theories and place language in a historical context. For example, you also examine how sign language and spoken language reflect the user's psychological and social perception of reality, and how language is connected to national and personal identities.

Specific admission requirements
You must have passed the following specific admission requirements:
- Danish A
- English B
- History B or History of Ideas B or Contemporary History B
- An additional language (beginner language A or advanced language B)
If you are missing one or more subject levels, you have the opportunity to supplement.
If you do not meet the grade requirement in quota 1, you must apply for admission to quota 2 no later than March 15 at 12 noon. Otherwise, you will not be able to be admitted.
