The Bachelor's degree in Law is based on a number of basic subjects that give you an overview of our legal system. You work with the analysis of legal issues, with the interpretation of legislation and you learn to put specific legal issues into a societal context.

Everyday life on the Jura
The teaching at Jura is based on lectures and teaching in small groups, where you give presentations, participate in discussions and collaborate with your reading group. Studying law requires a significant amount of work. There is a lot of reading to do when you are learning the meaning of the written rules, how they are used and how they interact.
Law is more than paragraphs, judgments and laws
At Law, you are primarily taught how to understand and use the content of legal rules. You work with areas such as Family and Inheritance Law, Constitutional Law, which deals with our state bodies and their powers, and subject areas such as legal history, property law, administrative law and criminal law. You also have good opportunities to study a semester abroad.
Career opportunities
As a Bachelor of Laws graduate, you can continue your studies in a number of Master's degree programs. First and foremost, the Master's degree program in Law, where you can specialize in specific areas of law. Master's degree graduates from Law have the exclusive right to become lawyers, judges or prosecutors. You can also work in ministries, municipalities, regions, banks or insurance companies, for example.
