Literary history is Gothic horror, villains, heroes, tragedies, children's books, family stories and great love. It is Shakespeare and contemporary literature, printed and digital media, advertising texts and book covers. You immerse yourself in many branches of literature from large parts of the world, but especially from Europe, and you examine psychological, historical, political and philosophical issues based on literary works.
Everyday life at Literary History
The teaching on the Bachelor's degree programme in Literary History is based on lectures and teaching in small groups, where you participate in discussions, give presentations and work with your study group. You will work with text analysis, translation and literary dissemination, and during the course of the programme you will read texts in both Danish, English and occasionally also in non-Nordic foreign languages (possibly with assistance with translations).
