The Master's degree in Auditing is about accounting, auditing, tax and business law, and you will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of all four subject areas. You will gain in-depth knowledge of areas such as annual accounts, international accounting standards, basic auditing theories, corporate law and the income tax system in Denmark. During the course of the degree, you will have good opportunities to specialize through electives and your final thesis, so that you can create your own professional profile.

The Master's degree program in Auditing is now also offered as a business degree program. The business degree program is part-time and is aimed at people who are in parallel employment.  
Career opportunities
As a qualified cand.merc.aud. you can solve problems at a high level within auditing, consulting and the financial function of companies. For example, you can work within auditing, the financial sector, public authorities, accounting and economics. You can also follow the research path and take a PhD. The master's degree also gives you the necessary theoretical foundation so that you can train as a state-authorized public accountant. In addition to the master's degree, it requires at least three years of employment with a state-authorized public accountant before you can take the practical exam to become a state-authorized public accountant.
