The MSc in Electrical Engineering at Aarhus University gives you the theoretical and practical tools to design, analyse, develop, and integrate advanced electrical and electronic systems. You’ll have flexibility to focus on your interests and gain hands-on experience in areas such as chip design, robotics & drone technology, or electronics & photonics.  


During the programme, you can choose two or three specialisations:

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • Communications and Networks
  • Cyber-Physical Systems
  • Cybersecurity

  • Healthcare Technology
  • Renewable Energy Systems

In the third semester, you can choose electives, project work, or study abroad. The fourth and final semester is devoted to your master’s thesis, which can be completed in collaboration with research groups or industry partners. 


All teaching is delivered by active researchers who are experts in their fields, and you’ll have opportunities to work alongside professors in our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. 


Career: 


Graduates work as R&D engineers in private and public sectors, in roles focused on electronics, semiconductors, signal processing, and research. Many pursue industrial or academic PhD programmes.
