Are you interested in politics and society? Then political science is for you. Among the many interesting questions you will work on during your studies are: Why do voters vote the way they do? How do the Danish Parliament and the civil service work? Why is it so difficult to implement major political reforms in relation to, for example, climate, health or education? Why do some countries have an extensive welfare state, while others rely more on the private market? How do the great powers safeguard their interests in the international system?

Everyday life in political science
The teaching of political science is based on lectures, reading group work and group lessons, where you give presentations, participate in discussions and solve problems. You will study subjects such as political theory, sociology, economics, international politics, public administration and methodology. You will be taught by some of the country's most talented political scientists, who base the teaching on the latest knowledge.

Career opportunities
Most bachelors in political science choose to continue their studies on the master's degree in political science, which is a direct extension of the bachelor's degree. The master's degree offers good opportunities to study abroad or do internships at embassies or ministries, for example. The degree opens the door to many different positions internationally and nationally. As a master's degree holder, you can, for example, work as a consultant, an official or in a management position at Danish authorities and organizations. You will also be able to work in the EU, in international organizations and NGOs.
