At Dentistry you will learn practical dental work and theoretical subjects based on the latest research. You will learn, among other things, anatomy, chemistry, histology, physiology and psychology and will work with various dental materials. Dentistry is a practical education where you learn to examine, diagnose and perform patient treatment under supervision within, among other things, dental cleaning, dental fillings and prosthetic replacements. At Dentistry there is a strong focus on working professionally, both in relation to patients, fellow students and lecturers, as well as interaction in the clinic.

The teaching at Dentistry is based on lectures, laboratory exercises and practical, clinical teaching. In the theoretical teaching, you have the opportunity to work in reading groups, where you have the opportunity to spar with each other. At the clinic, you work in pairs, and at the beginning of the study you carry out the practical exercises on each other. In the third semester, you start working with your own patients, and during the course of the education you learn to create good patient contact so that they trust you as a dentist. Both during the study and in the subsequent work as a dentist, you are very close to other people, both patients and your colleagues in the dental team.

When you start in the clinic, you become part of a team with other students and with associated clinical instructors.
