The MSc in Molecular Biology at Aarhus University is a research-focused, flexible programme that allows specialisation whilst gaining a strong general foundation in molecular biology. As a student, you can choose from five key areas of strength at the university: molecular cell biology, protein science, molecular plant biology, molecular nutrition, and bioinformatics.
The first year is tailored to your interests with elective and specialisation courses; the second year is dedicated to an independent thesis, often carried out in collaboration with active research groups. Molecular Biology graduates are in high demand in the food industry, health sector, and in pharmaceutical companies. There are also opportunities in research and development, production, teaching, communication, and consultancy.
