In the bachelor's degree program in French Language, Literature and Culture, most of the teaching takes place in French; it is therefore an advantage that you are already good at French so that you can fully benefit from the teaching from the beginning of your studies.
Everyday life in French
The teaching of French language, literature and culture takes place as lectures, group lessons, presentations and discussions in small groups. You will work together with your fellow students in your study group, where you can prepare for the lessons and solve various tasks together. You have the opportunity to use the French study café, where an older student helps you with academic tasks and questions, e.g. in grammar, linguistics and writing assignments. In the 4th semester you have the opportunity to go on an exchange to e.g. France, Switzerland, Belgium or Canada. Here you will have the opportunity to experience the culture of a French-speaking country up close and at the same time develop your language skills.
A small studio with big possibilities
The Bachelor's degree in French Language, Literature and Culture gives you the skills to express yourself orally and in writing in French. You work with grammar, linguistics and phonetics and acquire skills in translating between Danish and French. You gain insight into French and Francophone literature, both older and completely new French-language literature. You also have the opportunity to meet some of France's new authors through guest lectures. You learn about the history of France, from the Revolution in 1789 through World War II and France's time as a colonial power right up to the present day, including, for example, the political challenges within the EU and on a global level. You will also be able to meet French linguists, historians, literary authors and translators through guest lectures and professional events.

With the bachelor's degree in French language, literature and culture, you can continue your studies on a number of master's degrees. For example, the dual-subject master's degree in French language, literature and culture with an elective subject, which is a direct extension of the bachelor's degree. You can also choose to study a master's degree in Intercultural Studies with French and English, so that you specialize in working in intercultural contexts.
