Programme overview
Main Subject
Engineering - Civil and Structural
Degree
BEng
Study Level
Undergraduate
Study Mode
On Campus
As a BSc student in Civil Engineering, you will learn early in your education to translate your theoretical knowledge into construction engineering solutions. You will work on real cases and projects – often in collaboration with construction companies, consulting engineering firms and architects.
In this way, alongside your theoretical engineering expertise, you build detailed industry insight and a good understanding of the framework conditions and innovation needs of the construction industry.
In the Bachelor of Engineering in Construction, you can choose from different specializations and thus shape your own educational path according to your interests. Perhaps you are interested in building houses and bridges. Perhaps you are more interested in the management aspect of modern construction. It may also be that you would like to work with traffic systems and the construction of infrastructure or climate adaptation of our cities. As a construction engineer, you can also work on creating a healthy indoor climate.
During the program, you will learn to use digital tools in your work as an engineer, and you will encounter a holistic approach to construction with a strong focus on sustainability in almost all disciplines. The construction sector today accounts for a large part of society's total energy consumption and climate impact, and as a graduate engineer, you will therefore help create a green transition in the industry.
The program also includes a one-semester paid internship.
With their knowledge of sustainable construction, experience from project work and internships, graduates with a degree in Civil Engineering have an attractive graduate profile and are in high demand in the labor market.
As a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, you can apply to continue your studies as a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (+2 years) if you have chosen certain courses during your education.
