Training of water resources specialists capable of maintaining the cooperation and peaceful relations between countries for Basin inspections, Public Administration, MIPD, international organizations dealing with NEXUS, and enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Undergraduates gain knowledge in the field of management and use of transboundary water resources, groundwater deposits, the environment and increasing the resilience of vulnerable populations and ecosystems to climate change. They gain skills in performing the calculations and organizing the work at industrial enterprises, skills in preventing, regulating water conflicts, managing and solving practical problems related to water conflicts through cooperation, dialogue and negotiations.

"Water Diplomacy" will allow undergraduates to comprehend the political nature of water and provide tools to create a comprehensive framework, understand the configuration of actors, predict tensions, manage possible conflicts and identify ways of collaboration. Undergraduates learn to critically evaluate hydro politics and hydro diplomacy, to understand the basic international legal foundations related to water resources management, to apply the principles of conflict mediation, to assess possible entry points to strengthen cooperation in water supply sphere, to put into practice skills and abilities in organizing the research and scientific production work.

Program includes the opportunity to participate in scientific projects, as well as exchange programs with foreign universities, so that after graduation you can have the chance to evolve your scientific career further. Graduates receive "Master of Natural Sciences" academic degree at 2 years of study. Masters will practice and work in water management, geo-ecological, hydrogeological, engineering and geological enterprises, Basin inspections and State Administrations.
