Innovative educational program trains personnel focused on scientific, experimental research, teaching activities in the field of technological machines and equipment digitalization. Graduate are awarded a Ph.D. degree.

Doctoral students are exploring innovative technologies aimed at efficient and safe operation relating technological machines and equipment. Much attention is paid to intellectual entrepreneurship, elaboration of applied projects for real economy and the launched projects’ commercialization.

Doctoral students are actively involved in research projects under foreign consultants’ guidance. Plans for doctoral studies include a mandatory internship at leading overseas universities. Two scientific advisors, a national and a foreign one, supervise dissertation work and its defense.

Doctoral students undergo research, teaching and research practice at enterprises of “KazZinc”, “TNK Kazchrome”, “Kazatomprom”, “Metrokurylys”, “Kazakhmys Corporation”, “Kazchrome”, “KazMinerals”, and also at RK National Center for Integrated mineral processing, Kunaev Mining Institute, “Kazmunaygaz”, “Ontustik-Munaygas”, “Burgylau” etc.

Doctoral students undergo internships at Silesian Technical University (Poland), Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys.

Graduates work in mining, metallurgical and oil-gas industries, in design organizations, at research centers and machine-building production.

Graduates are in demand at engineering and management positions in mining, metallurgical and oil-gas sectors, they can work as teachers, researchers at testing centers, universities, national and private companies and other organizations conducting research, design and educational activities in various economy sectors.
