Modern degree program aimed at training specialists in the field of geodesy and mapping, specializing in geodetic, topographic, astronomical, geodetic, photogrammetric and cartographic work using the advanced equipment and digital geospatial technologies.
The educational process covers a wide range of disciplines: the theoretical foundations of geodesy and cartography, measurement techniques, spatial data processing, preparation of technical documentation, as well as registration of research results. Special attention is paid to the study of the regulatory framework governing professional activity in the given field.
As part of the program, students learn how to work with modern geographic information systems, analyze and model spatial objects, and use satellite and aerial photographs to monitor territories. Key competencies in the field of practical application of knowledge, critical thinking and teamwork in the context of interdisciplinary interaction are being formed.
Program provides for professional internships in specialized organizations, as well as participation in international academic exchanges with universities in China, the United States and Russia, which expands the horizons of students' professional and academic growth.
