Diploma is accompanied by a supplement to the diploma in accordance with European Commission, Europe Council and UNESCO / CEPES standard. The supplement is based on European ECTS system, and provides an opportunity to confirm the national higher education for foreign universities and employers. European Diploma Supplement is completed in English upon individual request and is issued free of charge.
The program trains specialists who will possess immerse technical-analytical, scientific-pedagogical and prognostic training, competent in production and management, organizational-technological and scientific-pedagogical areas as well. Students will master knowledge on current state and prospects of mining and geological industry, traditional and modern specialized methods regarding conducting field and laboratory studies of material composition, structure and development of geological formations, bodies and structures. In addition, conducting field, laboratory, interpretational studies due to modern equipment, devices and information technologies, planning, organizing research and production field laboratorial and interpretational works as well.
Magistrates will acquire skills in processing and presenting geological information using modern computer technology to develop and implement decision strategies and participate in geological research design.
Professors from leading Universities of near and far abroad, leading experts from manufacturing companies and research institutes are invited to conduct lectures and consultations. During training, undergraduates can spend a semester to study at a foreign university on an exchange program.
Undergraduates do pedagogical and research practice in such companies as “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating”, “Tengizchevroil”, “Kazgeology”, “DANK”, PGS, “Geoken”, “Kazakstankaspishelf”, “Kazakh Geophysical Company”, “Batys Geofizservis”, “Kazakhmys” where they get practical skills for the chosen profession.
Graduates work in oil-gas and mining companies in engineering positions, at research institutes occupying positions of research workers.
