Students of the department of Petroleum Engineering conduct scientific research at the international level and are members of the section of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers - "SPE".
The Society of Petroleum Engineers is an international non-profit organization of petroleum technicians.
The main goal of the society is the accumulation and dissemination of knowledge in the field of oil exploration and production, the development of related technologies. The Society's offices are located in Moscow, Dallas, Houston, London, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur. More than 100 thousand people are SPE members, including more than 28 thousand students.
Students of the department take practical training at the training ground of Satbayev University and are trained in the best domestic and international companies, including Schlumberger, Chevron, KazMunayGas, Rosneft, Lukoil, Eni, CNPC, ExxonMobil, Total, Royal Dutch Shell.
Some of the department's graduates work and gain experience at international locations from the UAE to the North Sea.
Graduates can work in transportation, piping engineering and design and expect to receive the highest starting salary of any engineer.
