Innovative educational program trains personnel focused on scientific, experimental research, teaching activities in processing ores and industrial raw materials sphere, as well as labor in mining and processing, metallurgical, gold and uranium industries. Graduate are awarded PhD degree.

Graduates of the given program conduct experimental studies using mathematical modeling; develop technological processes for obtaining enrichment products from original ore and industrial raw materials.

You will gain skills to develop new technological processes for processing of mineral, natural and techno genic raw materials, learn how to systematically solve organizational and production problems of enrichment industries using innovative approaches, to conduct innovative projects in the field of enrichment of mineral and techno genic raw materials and marketing high technologies.

Program provides basic educational, methodological and research training; in-depth study of such disciplines as modern trends in theory and technology of enrichment production development. Also, theory and technology of mineral raw materials’ selective disintegration, nanotechnology of mineral and non-traditional raw materials, conditioning of circulating and wastewater treatment relating enrichment production, optimization methods of mining and processing complexes’ design solutions; theory and technology of bio hydrometallurgical processing of refractory raw materials.

Doctoral students undergo research, teaching and research practice at enterprises of "Kazakhmys", "KazMinerals", "Kazchrome", "Kazzinc", "Kazakhaltyn", "Kazphosphate", Institute of Metallurgy and Enrichment, at RK National Center for Integrated Mineral Processing.

Doctoral students undergo internships at Colorado Mining School (USA), Rhine-Westphalian Technical University (Germany), Tomsk Polytechnic University, Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, Ural State Mining University, Magnitogorsk State Technical University. The content of research and industrial practice is determined due to doctoral dissertation topic.

The educational program is aimed at implementing by the graduates their elaborations’ launch into production and commercialization of scientific results obtained. They get the opportunity to create a small high-tech business related to mining and mineral processing.

Graduates work at engineering-research and management positions in mining and metallurgical sector, mineral processing plants and chemical-engineering enterprises, as teachers, research workers at testing centers and universities, design and research activities, improve and optimize mining and processing production.
