Training of technologists competent in the processing of ores and man-made raw materials, working in the mining, gold mining and uranium industries. Program is accredited by Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (Kazakhstan).

Graduates receive an academic degree of Master of Engineering and Technology with 1.5 years of study or Master of Technical Sciences with 2 years of study.

You will gain knowledge related to technological processes of enrichment production, processing of minerals and man-made raw materials, design of mining and processing equipment and creation of technologies for enrichment, automatic control systems of enrichment production, the use of energy-saving and "green" technologies and materials. Get the skills of laboratory research, technological calculations, equipment selection and design owing to modern computer technologies and programs.

Master’s degree students undergo pedagogical and research practice in such companies as "Kazakhmys", "KazMinerals", "Kazzinc", "Kazatomprom", "Altynalmas". Scientific internships on academic mobility programs are held at Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Ural State Mining University, Colorado School of Mines (USA), Rhenish-Westphalian Technical University of Aachen (Germany), KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), Suleyman Demirel University (Turkey).

Program provides an opportunity to continue studying under the two-degree Master's degree program: "Processes and devices for processing mineral and man-made raw materials", developed jointly with Tomsk Polytechnic University.

Graduates of Master's degree are in demand in engineering, technical and managerial positions in the mining and metallurgical sector - at processing and metallurgical enterprises, in design organizations, metallurgical research centers; in the chemical industry. They have the right to teach at higher educational institutions.

Program was improved within the framework of the international project Master Program in Eco-Mining and Innovative Natural Resources Management (Erasmus+).
